Formerly known as Highland Park, this course is located right next to the heart of the city. Steeped in history and lore of American golf since 1912, it provides an experience long forgotten among modern courses. Not particularly long, the emphasis is place on shotmaking. It was refurbished in 1999 with a total of 6,048 yards from the back tees playing to par of 72. It is open to the public but reasonable memberships are available. It is surrounded by lovely older homes.
